The Slovenian rider followed up his pivotal triumph in the last time preliminary of the past release on La Planche des Belles Filles with another blaze of brightness and sent an unmistakable message to his adversaries, while Mathieu van der Poel dove deep into the red in the finale to keep hold of his yellow shirt by only eight seconds over Pogačar. Swiss rider Stefan Küng, the European hero against his clock, created an unshakable execution yet completed 19 seconds behind the UAE Team Emirates pioneer, who impacted through the course at a normal speed of more than 50 km/h.
